1. Commission Requests

Submitting a commission request does not guarantee acceptance. I may decline a commission for any reason. A commission is accepted once I confirm it and we agree on the scope and price.

You are responsible for accurate information, references, links, and requirements. Missing or incorrect information may delay your commission.

2. Avatar Base Models & Third-Party Assets

Most commissions involve retexturing or modifying existing avatar bases created by other artists. The original base, mesh, rig, and third-party assets do not belong to Zoey's Commissions unless explicitly stated.

• You must legally obtain the base.
• You must follow the original creator's TOS and license.
• You must make sure the base permits the requested modification or retexture.
• You are responsible for obtaining required permissions.

3. What You Are Purchasing

Your commission fee pays for my work creating the requested retexture or modification. It does not transfer ownership of the original base, third-party assets, or rights those creators have not granted.

4. Retexture Commissions

Work may include color changes, clothing recolors, texture edits, patterns, decals, customer-supplied logos, material adjustments, makeup, markings, hair texture changes, and other agreed texture modifications.

The selected tier and agreed scope determine what is included. Work substantially outside that scope may cost extra.

5. Customer-Provided Assets

If you provide artwork, logos, textures, images, references, or other material, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to have it used. I am not responsible for ownership disputes involving customer-supplied material.

6. Revisions

Revisions are for corrections or adjustments to the agreed design. Minor corrections may be included. Major redesigns or changes after work begins may require an additional fee.

7. Payment

Prices depend on the selected tier and agreed work. Additional work outside the original scope may incur additional charges, which I will communicate before doing the extra work. Work may not begin until payment or another agreed payment arrangement is in place.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

You may request cancellation before work begins. Once work has started, any refund depends on the amount of work completed; a full refund may not be available after substantial work. If I cannot complete your commission, I will provide an appropriate refund for incomplete work.

9. Delivery

Completed work is delivered through the agreed method. Completion times are estimates unless a specific deadline has been agreed in writing. You are responsible for keeping backup copies after delivery.

10. Base Model Updates

Third-party bases can change. Updating a previous commission for a substantially changed base may be a new or additional paid service. I do not guarantee indefinite compatibility with future versions of third-party assets.

11. Redistribution

Unless explicitly permitted by the applicable creators and by me, you may not redistribute my commissioned textures or modifications, sell them separately, give them to unauthorized users, upload them as public downloads, or claim my original retexture work as your own.

12. Commercial Use

A standard commission does not automatically grant commercial-use rights. Tell me before acceptance if you intend commercial use. Additional permission or fees may apply, and the original asset creator's license still applies.

13. Portfolio & Promotional Use

Unless we agree otherwise, I may display completed commission work in my portfolio, website, screenshots, renders, and social media. I will not intentionally publish private personal information. Request privacy before completion if needed.

14. VRChat

Zoey's Commissions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by VRChat Inc. You are responsible for following VRChat's current rules when using commissioned content.

16. Copyright & Intellectual Property

I respect the rights of avatar creators and artists. I do not claim ownership of third-party work. My original retexture work remains my work unless I explicitly transfer or license those rights. Nothing here grants rights either party does not otherwise have.

17. Platform Compatibility

I will make reasonable efforts to meet the agreed requirements, but cannot guarantee permanent compatibility with VRChat, Unity, SDKs, shaders, third-party bases, software, hardware, or future updates.

18. Communication

Commission communication uses the agreed contact method. If I need information, approval, or files from you, the commission may be paused until you respond. Extended periods without communication may place the commission on hold.

19. Refusal of Service

I may refuse or cancel work that violates these terms, another creator's license, applicable law, or the rules of the platform; involves unauthorized assets; substantially falls outside my services; or involves harassment, threats, abuse, fraud, or unreasonable risk.

20. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The version agreed to when your commission is accepted will generally apply to that commission.
